Indonesia has a wealth of local food plants that can support national food sovereignty in the face of the industrial revolution 4.0. In the process of developing local plants as a supporter of national food sovereignty, it is necessary to study the diversity of local food-related to human resources and the environmental field including local wisdom, land conditions, and climate change. Besides, it is necessary to study the superiority of local plants related to the influence of local food diversity on the welfare and health of the community so that opportunities for local plant development increase. Community participation in realizing food sovereignty can be increased through policies and information.
